Hi! I understand above that blue wire under the seat(going under rear fender) is parklight?? is it correct??
So i can make joint to licenceplate 2 led + wires with that? no harm with alarm or something ??
Maybe I must test it with volt meter before cutting wires for sure...
Can you Rmblon put little bigger picture about that tail light wiring??
which black is rightone for ground, or are they all - wires?
Or is it better joint -wire direct to frame?
I have not understood. So I must cut the blu wire that go in the 4-pin tail lamp and go to the side licence plate, or I must connect it only? (I would have a sidemount too, thanks).
You must share blue(+) wire with tail light and side mount licence plate light .
I share black(-) wire also near that connector where taillight wires go under rear fender.
I´m not sure is it correctly right, but lights work fine now
Saw this thread and figured I'd give a definitive answer for any '08 riders out there. Just checked my Service Manual for the same info, and you'll want to use the blue wire (not the red/yellow one) that runs into the tail light. Blue is the running light, red/yellow is the brake.
For anyone with a service manual, it's Figure B-20 in the back.
