Yeah, I have also been looking at a set of the big radius exhaust. Will they fit with the standard foot controls? I looked on the Vance & Hines website and it says they will fit both mid and foward controls but from the online instructions and pics it sure appears that they will only work with foward controls.
i say get a tool kit in leather instead if the chin spoiler. Also where i bought my bob they have a black dennum bob and powder coated the rim and hub red, left the spokes chrome, the writing on the tires in red, blacked out the lower legs, handle bars and triple tree. looked really retro. me i want to be a little different i'm chroming and adding bling. as far as the blck derby cover hd has it. a cool place to look for some nice derby cover and a/c covers is azece.com thats where i got my a/c cover.
You might have to copy/paste that link. I bet if you removed your wheel you could get a high-quality rattle can paint and tape of what you don't want black. Then if you don't like the look use some paint remover and your back to chrome.
I've got a Vivid Black Bob that I've powdercoated the lowers, dust caps, triple trees, Wild1 apes, battery cover, electrical cover, BBC bullet blinkers, and fender struts gloss black. I'm also adding new 80 spoke DNA wheels that have black hubs and black outer rim with stainless spokes. The pipes are also getting wrapped in black up to the last step up. We got some wrong parts last week but everything is in now and the bike is getting put back together this week. I should have some pics up by the weekend...that may give you some ideas on what 'black' you like or don't like. I like a good mix of billet chrome and black personally.
