Wide Glide Rear
hello. have a mate with an 07 wide glide. Has been told by PerformanceMachine that his rear will fit a wheel 18 by 5.5 with a 180 on it , without mods. has anyone ( I'm sure there is ) done this. Pic would be appreciated as well. tia grzly

HDWheels has a size chart, including max wheel/tire combinations that will fit without bike modifications.

It really depends on the wheel manufacturer. I have an 18x5.5 bought from parts-4less.com on which I mounted an Avon Cobra 180.55.18. But the wheel does not fit in the swingarm space with the stock spacers using the stock pulley. The stock pullet protrudes outward from the wheel about 1/4" where aftermarket pulley's do not. I installed a new pulley too. I ordered a left side spacer from HD ($8.00) and will have it cut down to 1-5/16". It's cost me more than I expected, but I'll have a complete rear wheel with pulley, rotor, and a new Dunlop 180 in case I wake up to a flat tire. Plan on having this finished this week.
