Default Clutch Adjustment Question

How often do you adjust your clutch, I have the service manual and looked at all the posts on these forums with the tricks of the trade and just can't seem to get it like the techs at the dealership. Seems that after about 2000 miles the clutch grabs about 3/4 the way out, me thinks thats toooooo far out!!!!

Thanks for all the help

I replaced my bars and clutch cable in Feb. My clutch slipped out of adjustment last month, and used this procedure: https://www.hdforums.com/fb.asp?m=3089711

and it all seems good now, maybe will give you that dealer adjustment feeling.

Basically you want 1/8 of play at your lever...adjust cable to achieve this. If your clutch still catches high then you want to adjust the clutch plates...this might help http://www.expertvillage.com/video/1...clutch-one.htm
