Is there any seats that are out there that are lower profile than the sundowner and touring dyna seats. I have a badlander and im wanting something a little more comfortable for longer trips. I really dont want a big pillow looking seat on there. I was thinking about a stock wide glide seat.
Pros: Great-looking low-profile seat with embroided small "bar & shield" on back lip. Very sleek but still pretty comfortable for rides up to 2 hrs non-stop.
Cons: A bit pricey at $300. Your *** will start to go numb after 2 hrs+ of non-stop riding.
Usually the two (low profile and long ride comfort) don't go together. Certainly the badlander isn't a touring seat by any stretch of the imagination...it's a profile seat. You may have to giveup a little on the looks side for comfort. Here's the great thing though...when you get the other seat, keep the badlander seat and switch 'em for when you want the low profile look.
"Comfortable" and "best looking" is relative. It's truley a personal thing. I went through several seats on my '00 Wide Glide. The original Corbin was a chunk of concrete. Very, very uncomfortable on my skinny behind. Wasn't happy with anything until I found the Mustang Vintage Touring seat. Love it. Absolutely love it. The 'look' may not be quite right for a WG, but my cheeks are some smilin' ****'s since I got it. Won't use anything else.
I'm lookin at 3 different mustang seats right now. The square back, fastback and vintage. The vintage is probably the most comfortable of the 3 but like 03Std said it dosn't look that good on a WG. Sat on a fastback on a WG and it felt pretty good and looks great but I'm lookin for long range comfort. I'll decide some day LOL.[hr]
