Ok so I am going to be installing 16" apes on 07 FXDC and I know i've seen posts about front turn signal relocation so does anyone have any advice on what is the best looking way to go about it???
Its covered a couple of times in the Under $50 thread. Ive done it and its pretty easy. Are you going to be putting your wires in the bars or leave them outside ? Might as well wire the bars internally since your changing them anyway. Look it up or if you have a specific question, you can PM me.
I just did an internal wire job on my 07 last night. Check out this thread, and if you have wireless access and a laptop in your garage you are golden. https://www.hdforums.com/m_1328001/tm.htm
I didnt hit any snags, just time consuming. There should be no cutting or soldering needed if you disassemble the Molex or Deutch connectors. When you move the signals down to the tree you can cut the excess wiring off, but I elected to just stow it with the rest up under the neck of the frame. The write up covered everything I needed with the exception of the connector disassembly. Mine apparantly are Molex, his were Deutch. Same pick tool works with both. I used a high quality paperclip, flattened with a hammer. Make two if you are like me and lay small stuff down mid-job and forget where it is. Good luck. I am no mechanic, but I would be happy to give any input I have if your system matches mine.
