K...Now I am starting to get concerned. This stuff on here is as hard as a rock. Anything that could have been worked off is now long gone. This is what it looks like now. I am not sure anything can penetrate this.

Whats worked for me is a blow dryer for about 15 min then iso. There is a good thick clear coat on there, just re-wax the fender when your done.

I have a Mustang 2 up seat, didn't come with bumpers. Glad I left my original seat on until it came or I may have removed my bumpers and been screwed.

wd-40 does it. spray, agitate w/ finger (yes it matters), wipe w/ clean towel. Repeat..
Using a finger keeps one from over rubbing, possibly damaging the surface.
patience and persistence - good luck

I agree with the hair dryer technique (or let it sit in the hot sun for awhile) peel and then the fun begins. That goo-gone sounds like a good plan too. Be patient and please...NO RAZOR BLADES...LOL. Watch that clear coat..maybe you can test on some out of the way place before you use it. Did you check at the dealership? I know when I took my two-up seat off after many miles it left some sort of cloudy marks in the clear coat where the rubber contacted the fender and I've had a hell of a time getting it off.
