I am thinking of ordering the PCIII from FuelMoto and was wondering how hard it was to stuff it under the seat? I have an 06 with a security system installed as well as the backoff brakelight control. Am I going to be able to get all of this stuffed into that tiny space? I also ordered the IED's from Nightrider. After my recent download experiance with the dealer I think I am about done with them. I need to find a decent indy shop somewhere in the Modesto area before something bad happens.
Yes, it was a big pain to get the PCIII under the seat. With time, patience, and re-arranging, you can get it done. I also remembering snipping a stock cable tie or two to get things where I wanted them. Below are pics with the PCIII out, and in. From the pic, it looks like the PCIII is sticking up more than it actually is. The seat clears it just fine. I also have the USB cable coiled & stored with the unit.

Been wondering about that myself. I have the backoff module but not the security system and I don't know how it would fit. One reason I'm thinking about SERT. I know it's more money.

I found some pics & directions here in the forums which helped me a lot. I passed the favor along by posting my pics in case others needed help.
Yes, I do have a back off brake light sensor installed also. It's super small when compared to the PCIII, but every little bit of space helps.
I also got my dad hooked up with a PCIII for his Heritage (V&H Shortshot Staggered pipes). His setup actually came with a plastic mounting tray since things are different under his seat when compared to the Dynas. His was no easier. We still had to play around to get things fit just right under his seat.
Don't worry about not being able to fit it in. I've never heard of anyone here in the forums that has had to return their PCIII because it wouldn't fit under the seat. You might want to have another set of eyes & hands to help give you input. The person doesn't even have to know anything about motorcycles. Sometimes a solution is right there in front of you and another person might see something you don't or have a better idea.

Why don't you look at Terry Components Terminal Velocity 2 tuner. I had a PCIII on my other bike but my new, and VERY good tech, steered me to this tuner for my FXDWG. AllI can say is WOW.I have no issues what so ever and the tuner will retune itself in 10 minutes if you change pipes, air cleaner, cams , whatever. No need for a dyno tune at all. I've swaped air cleaners and taken the baffles in and out of my pipes just to test if what I was being told was true about the tuner. Well it is and it takes about 10 minutes after a mod and it runs great.
Watriff, i used the same info that i found on the forums and mounted mine identically to yours. The hardest problem i had was getting that stupid bolt on the center of the fuse box / ECU to get back in. I must have moved things just enough where it didn't fit with a washer. So i went into work and got an identical bolt that was 1/8" longer and i'm good to go. I cut wire ties as well and i removed the little plastic clip that some of the wires were connected to. I didn't see it serving any purpose aside from cleaning things up at the factory. I just re-tied everything off, installed my USB cable (and stuffed it in a ziplock with some di-electric grease on the connector). No issues so far.
How much is the Terry Components tuner? I'm not looking to switch...just curious.
