it was like a water gun got me, i hit a puddle in a dip in the road about 10mph.
surprised the crap outta me! i looked andi can't see straight down to the wheel so i have no idea where it came from or how.
maybe some kids got me from the bushes.
anyhoo, i guess i should pull the trigger on a fender that fits eh

Ya man thats what happens, the water will stick in to the tire long enough to get flung up in front of you, then you are simply riding into it. It will get you every time.

i wonder how much of the front part of the fender, forward of the forks, plays a functional role- any thoughts on this? i'm about to cut up a fender for my scoot and plan on chopping off as much of the front of it as possible.

now you know why a lot of the custom bikes even have fenders today. back in the old days it was cool not to have a front fender. but man when it rains all hell breaks loose.
