Default Do I need new cables??? 16" ape users...

I just recieved some 16" gimps with internal wires. I know alot of people are running these and I am wondering if I can wing it with the stock cables or do I need to get new ones?

I know of 1 person who has done this with the stock cables but you may want to ask him what you need to do.
JRK5892 is who I think did this with the stock cables. Personally, I ordered new +6 cables and a 54" brake line with a 12" harness extension all from JP Cycles, total cost was $225 with shipping (or so). Will be getting all my stuff this monday and install will be the weekend after this coming due to me going to Jackpot Nv for some RR time, heavy on the RR (and not Rest and relaxing if you know what I mean).

I think so. I put some 10" drag bars on and had to put some wire extensions for my contros, but I still have a couple of inches of slack in the clutch and throttle, but the brake line may be an issue for you too.

i have 14in apes, with 2.5 risers, stock cables... i had to rebend my brake lines, internal wire my bars, and re route my cables... you will have to unclip where the cable attaches at the down tube as well.
