We have an 1/8 mile drag strip track local, and I'm thinking of taking my Street Bob out on it and doing a couple runs. Anyone done this and have any advice? Should I lay low over the tank? Sit-up straight and hang-on hard? Remove Windshield or leave it on? Anything else I should think about before I decide if this is a good idea or not? Well, clearly it's not a great idea... but I'll probablly do it anyway.
I used to run my cars on the full 1/4 quite a bit. I would gues my Bob would run the 1/4 in the 12's or low 13's - trap around 110? That said, the 1/8 would trap only around 60 I'm guessing? Shouldn't be anything to worry about.
That said, the 1/8 would trap only around 60 I'm guessing? I would agree. I ran the 1/4 mile for years in cars. They will make you wear full leathers, gloves, boots and a helmet (and maybe a kill switch)

Hmmm. I hadn't thought of that I'll have to check on it. You're most likely right.
