I have a '08 Super Glide Custom with what started as a flickering neutral light. The light would faintly flicker while riding at 50-60mph. Now it comes on and basically stays on while moving but stays off at very low speeds or at a stop in gear. Light comes on as it should when actually in neutral. Has anyone else had this problem?
UPDATE
Took the FXDC into the dealer this morning. On the way in (neutral light still staying on) my 6th gear light went out and the security light came on. That baffled me because my bike does not have the factory security system. The dealer checked the computer for trouble codes and found nothing. tried a computer reflash and changed nothing.They went back to old school mechanics and finally found a rub through in the main wire harness. For those of you who have this problem, the harness was rubbing on top of the transmission. They said that they could "fix" the wire or replace the harness. The bike only has 800 miles on it so I said replace the harness. Needless to say they dont stock the part and I had to ride home on four wheels.
