Rode a bit with 2 LEOs today
Stopped for gas in Modesto on the way back from a long ride up in the mountains and ran into an enthusiast LEO on one of the new Modesto bikes. They are on some wild looking Honda's these days. Explained that they all loved the Road Kings, but the heat here in the Valley was destroying them. The new bikes are water cooled andlook like Bimmers - I think he said it was only a 750, but that doesn't make sense. Said they are quick as Hell. Nice guy. Has an 04 Victory at home, but spends 50+ hours/week in the saddle for work, so he doesn't ride it much.
Ran into another LEO as I left, and he rode along with me for a few miles. Good thing I had my real DOT helmet on!
Also, today was a great day! First time I had my new girlfriend out on the bike, and she loved it. Man, it was so nice getting my back and shoulders massaged (among other things) all day long...

I was out practicing earlier today, when I went past a patrol car at the end of a parking lot. Just as I passed, he pulled out. I thought he'd pull me over for suspicion of DUI, or something,because I slowed a little when I saw him for fear he'd pull out in front of me. They always say cagers don't see us. He only stuck with me for about 1/2 mile, though.
Glad your LEO's were nice, and you had the proper gear on.

Towboat has become a distraction for me everytime I see his posts My pants get tight and I forget what I am reading. I am not complaining. I had some cool LEO's come to the hospital after my accident to get a statement and they told me there own accident storys. They were really helpful and bashed the bitch that nearly killed me. Then one of them asked if I would ride again infront of my wife I said hell yes I am, I thought the OL was gonna drop right there.
