2007 Dyna FXD Outer primary install question
I am a new member and I am going to put on a new chrome outer primary. My question is how difficult is the process and should I put on new gaskets.I know there is a main gasket and a derby cover gasket. Are there any other gaskets or o rings that would need to be purchased? Thanks for the advice! Where is the best online shop to purchase gaskets?

Steve I just did mine don't forgeto-ring for the drain plug. And a new tower gasket part # 63869-06. Was not hard was one of the easiest mods so far. Be sure to use a torx 27 on the derby cover.

Is the tower gasket the large gasket? Am I right in saying the derby cover gasket has to be replaced also and if so do you know the part number on this? Can the old gaskets be used?

No the tower gasket is small and goes inside of primary. I didn't replace the derby gasket because I forgot to get a new one. The part # for derby gasket is 17369-06. You really need an service manual IMO and I recommend a parts manual also.Zanotti online is a cheap place to buy both.
