I would like to thank everyone for all the information you guys have provided so far.
I have been dragging a$$ for a while because I couldn't get the 2008 Night Train in black denim.
I am leaning towards a 2008 Sportster Roadster instead from my local dealer for half the price.
Nevertheless, after all the BS above.
Today at work a co-worker of mine offered me a deal that I probably can not refuse.
He has a 2005 FXDXI Super Glide Custom in vivid black with a two into one vance and hines exhaust as part of the stage 1 kit. He said he owes like eight grand on it and he wants me to throw him like four grand over that, for a total of 12,000+. He will sign it over to me.......guess what, it has a whopping970 Miles on it....yes...not a typo....under a thousand miles!!!!!
How do you guys feel about this deal? I see it Kelly Blue Books for about twelve.
But that is with mileage, wear and tear.
sounds to be pretty good, with the add-ons. was it done by the stealer?? still has warrenty right? nun the less that seems pretty good deal try to get him to bite on 3g's over instead of 4....o i gots the 05 FXDCI with 60k on it and seems to still be runnin strong. replaced the cam chain tens at about 40k, goin with gears next doh cuz im about ready for new ones again!!!
if you get an 06 or newer dyna you'll have a better engine with some better parts and there are a lot of streetbobs out there for 12 grand...if he sold it toyou for 9,500 i would jump on it.
Doesn't sound like a good deal to me.....he's asking top dollar for a 3 year old bike regarless of mileage. Is there extended warranty going with the bike ? I would personally pony up another $1500. or so and get a new one. But hey, thats just my opinion.

bouth 07 fxdl w/shield/sissybar/detach with 2000 miles on it still with factory+warranty on it for $14k....pass and go buy a new one for couple grand more...
ya butts live in the woods however the 05 was the last of what 4-5 years with that motor and trans?? i think they pretty much got all the bugs out cuz look at all the probs folks had with the first HD 6-speed trans and the bearing failures on the primarys.....if you could get him 1k or more lower i say its good deal nice bike low miles and with a proven drive train. but what do i know its all about money and youropinion.
