the 07 dynas do have alot of issues. mine has had four recalls so far.
What were your recalls? My 07 FXDC has only been in for 2 related issues that I am aware of. The torque smoothing ECM issue and the "clunk" front end fix. What am I missing?
Since you said they are about the same price, consider what you want the final package to be. I bought an '06 street bob and I am paying to add bags. Check it out. You can pay an arm and a leg. Don't forget theHOURS that went into my decision as to what kind, and what changes i have to make to the bike to make them fit.
The 6 speed trans is great if you do a lot of highway riding (65+ mph). But in local traffic, you have to shift more because the bands are more narrow.
Will either bike need a different exhaust or shocks? Add that in too.
I would prefer the FXDXT. Ihave a 2004 FXD with a Dyna Sport (FXDX) front end. I love the way it rides and handles. The FXDXT bags are nice too,if i had some of those I probably wouldnt need my Electra Glide. They are hard to find. If you dont doalot of long rides the 6 Speed is (in my opinion) over rated. The FXDXT isalso not as common, kinda unique. Just my two cents.
