Default Dyna opinions

Hi fellas,

Just for conversation...

I'm lookin' at an '03 FXDXT w/ 3,000 miles,
and
an '07 plain-jane dyna glide w/ 1,500 miles.

The prices are roughly the same.

My thoughts:

'03 T-sport: I like the touring stuff (fairing & bags). I like the blacked-out look.
I don't like the skinny forks.

'07 Dyna: I like the updated motor & updated trans. I like the updated swingarm & fatter forks.
I don't like the plain looks and lack of touring stuff.

Your thoughts? [:@]

All your issues with either bike can be solved with $$$$. Get the 03 and put a Springer front end on it for a retro look.
Am not a fan of the 07's given all the complaints, mostly excessive heat,I've read here. My 02 is carbed and runs great & cool.
But, then again, all it takes is money.

I have a 2007 Super Glide Custom, 96 ci, 6 speed tranny.
I love it!!! I checked my mpg today (using mobil 1 v-twin in
engine and royal purple 75-140 in tranny and sny 3 in primary)
Filled up the bike, took a little trip 61 miles and filled it up
again. Got 59 mpg. Needless to say I was very pleased.

IMO the Super Glide Custom is the best bike for the money
in H/D line-up of bikes. They are light, agile, fast, good mileage, look hot and I've had no problems at all. Oh did I
say that chicks dig-em. Just a great all round bike.

lol what does your fxdc have to do with the two bikes mentioned????

I digress..

to the OP: a wide glide kit will probably be much less expensive than turning that 07 into a touring bike.

gp with the bike with the least negatives cause your gonna sink money into it either way.

I would go with the glide!! I like the full dressers, but I love the dyna's!! I have had both a wide glide and now a super glide custom!! The 6 speed tranny is great as well.

Go with the 07-

Should still have some warranty! ++++
6 speed tranny is great
I prefer fuel injection over carb after owning both.
With $$$ you can fix anythng you do not like.
I like fairings too and added a Slipstreamer SS-32 shield which is almost like a fairing
