Do they make an adjustement to the speedo itself or do something with the ECM? Is it Baker that is doing the recalibration?

I'm new to Harleys, but I'm pretty sure the speedo just reads the signal that is sent to it, my T-Max has the recalibration option. Baker has a tech line they could answer your questions.

I didnt touch the recalibration for the speedo. Yes you can find the socket cheaper @ a place called Harbour Freight Tools. Look them up on the net. Impack tools are a + and a repair and parts book is mandatory. You need torque specs and diagrams/blow ups. Also you will be able to do about anything with both books so its $ well spent.Look up my posts and I beleive I put all the info needed when I posted months ago.

(didn't look real hard) but i can't seem to find the part number for that new belt

Dakota Digital and S & S both make speedometer re-calibraters. Both are plug and play, real easy to adjust. Even easier if you have a GPS then just go along and adjust the speedo to the gps speed, or you can use a buddy to ride along side. Hope this helps.

I did this in my FXD 30T, had the Indy do the work now I can keep up with bride on her 06 Bob

could have done it myself but I work out of town returning home every couple of weeks so dropped the bike off and picked up 2 weeks later

my rear axel is an the very end of the swing arm if the belt stretches I will need to get a shorter one

The acelleration(sic) in the lower gears is a lot quicker one of the cheapest "speed" equipment changes that can be made.

I just called Baker about the 30T for an '07 Dyna and they quoted me a price of $169.00 for the 30T. They gave me part# 40048-07 for a 130T belt, is that the correct belt for a 30T, they said that it was used on HDs delivered to Japan.
