Just ordered my PCIII should be here tomorrow. Until I can get the bike dynoed, I plan on using the Dynojet map M814-002 for Thunderheader and SE air cleaner. My bike is an 08 FXDC with Thunderheader, SE Heavy Breather intake and the dealer stage 1 download.
My question is will the Dyno jet map get me close with the heavy breather intake? Is this much different than the standard SE air filter which that map is meant for?
Also, will the dealer stage 1 download effect the PCIII or will it not even reconize the stage 1 downlaod? A few friends have told me the stage 1 download may effect the timing? I posted a similar question a few days ago and got very little feed back.
The PCIII changes will be in addition to your stage 1 download, that's how a PC works, it adds or subracts to what you have in your existing programming.
I have run a few different PCIII maps on my bike, and even customized it some, and when all was said and done, I switched back to the closest map from Dynojet, as it worked the best. My mileage is a little low (~35mpg), but my bike runs cool and it has the best acceleration. I've got 25,000 miles on my PCIII now...
So, from my understanding, the stage 1 download should not negatively effect the PCIII? It will make adjustments where needed regardless of the stage 1 download.
I would assume the difference between the SE heavy breather and the standard SE air filter would be minimal?
