Is there any benefit to adding a PCIII to my bike? I have the stage 1 download from HD. SE heavy breather, True Duals, and SE slip on's. The bike runs very good, but in high outside temps, It gets HOT.
In the future I would like to do a Cam upgrade, and the PC would be needed then. It might be a good while until I can afford the Cams. So I was thinking about adding the PCIII, so that would be 1 expense I wouldn't incur for the upgrade.
Can the PCIII hurt anything if I already have the stage 1 download? Will it help heat issues? add more power to my current set up?
won't hurt anything, it basically takes charge and you are able to tweak the af mix to your liking for performance. The down load you have is to factory specs and will usually be somewhat lean. More fuel will help cooling to some degree. Put a PCV from fuelmoto on after I changed pipes and ac feels like a different bike.
Had aftermarket exhaust, intake and stage 1 d/l.
Still ran too hot n' lean. Added PCIII and map. With a little tweaking on the tables she runs great now.
Definitely do it. You are still running very lean.
Order it from Fuelmoto as suggested. Be sure to tell them that you have the download and they will map it accordingly.
I just installed the PCV, SE exhaust and stage 1 AC installed. Completely different bike with it!! Great product and get it from Fuel Moto as others have suggested. Great people there.
Good Luck
