Speedometer options on a Super Glide
So far I love my new Super Glide but I am not crazy about the Speedometer Housing. I am sure there are lots of option I would just like to see some pics.
I like how my buddies Custom Sportster set up is but not sure if thats a option or not.

You can buy a Chrome Housing if you are talking about a bar mounted speedometer. That's what I did. It's a relatively easy change. I also replaced my risers with chrome ones. If you look around you can probably find a takeoff.

+1 on the chrome housing, makes it look better. The only other real option is to get a wide glide or lowrider tank, but then you are talking about paint, console, guages, big bucks....

I saw a pic of one that had a double chrome housing and added a tach. I liked the looks of that.

You can change out the whole assembly like I did (look at my old posts). I swapped mine out with an 04 and up XL Custom setup I got off Ebay from a wrecked 883. Moves the speedo down under the bar clamp. It was all plug and play for my 06 FXDI. As long as you have no tank lift there is plenty of room between it and the gas cap. The bad part is you are stuck with that riser forever because it is part of the speedo housing.
