Does anyone have one of these and if so where did you install it and how do you like it?
I have a 2005 FXDCI and am thinking about putting it on the front brake master brake resivour.
Thanks

rfranz,
How well does the redline "flash" work? Can you notice it without looking directly at it (shift light). Is it settable or just preset? Dou you have to plug into the ECM harness, or what? Thanks.

The redline "flash" is preset to 5800, I believe, and is not adjustable.
I normally don't use it, so I don't pay much attention to it. It is, however, pretty noticable.
I've had mine long enough, I'm having difficulty remembering how it wires in. I think, in my case, that it attached to the data bus wire using a suitcase connector in side the riser. I got it hooked up on the first try, so it must have come with good instructions.
Generally, if its possible, I will screw it up![

Some of the comments are correct--it does read in two digits--in hundreds. 42 = 4,200. Pretty easy, and one of the reasons it can be both readable and small. I don't even remember the last time I needed to know if the engine was turning at 4230 vs 4240 rpm
Speedway apparently now has a choice of chrome or black. When I got mine, it was like the model T--you could buy black, or you could buy black. Worked for me, because my brake resevoir was black.
