oil pressure?
hey all,
i just did a cam swap in my 07 dyna and changed the pushrods as well... and i want to start it up, but i want to make sure i'm getting oil pressure... i'm not doubting the job i did in aligning the pump, as i purchased the proper tools to do it, but you never know.
how can i test for oil pressure?

Just start it up and watch for the oil pressure light to go out. Beware, that if the lifters aren't pumped up, they will clatter for a bit, sometimes a good bit, before they quieten down.

okay...so there IS an oil pressure light (of course there is)... i just never took real notice of it
...alright, i'm gonna hit it this afternoon
one more question:
will the lifters quite down before the oil pressure light goes off?...or will the light go out before the lifters quiet down? ...i suspect the light will go out before the lifters quiet down, though, considering the oil pressure guage speaks to oil pressure...not noise
