How about this one?

http://www.chopperexchange.com/2006-...et_Bob-72619-2

He is at $9,000 OBO! Only 9K miles.Shipping to CA wont be that much. Offer the guy $8500 and see what he says? Make sure you confirm it has a clear title, but it looks very nice.

This isnt your bike is it?? jk lol I really prefer the 2 into 1 pipes - why the white wall tires on the rear? Anyway, when buying used and shopping price, I cant be too picky.

BIG thanks - never new about this site. Shipping from east to west from what I know is about $700-$750. If you know of better shipping pricing please share - pleeeease

EDIT:

Just noticed - that bike was listed in Dec.07... I think its sold... lol

One thing to consider. The MoCo seems to be cutting back on production which is gonna put some upward pressure on used bike prices. Inventory is so low at the local dealer that they are buying used bikes to have more inventory. There were fewer new bikes on the floor last week than I've seen in a couple of years.

Good Luck

Thats exactly what I noticed and what the dealership told me. They said HD wants to bring the value back by increaseing demand, decreaseing supply...

Did you say rust on the rims? That might be a sign that this bike should be checked by a good mechanic. Not saying it's a problem by itself, but it says a little about how it was cared for. If you are klike me, you don't have money to throw away.

I forgot - got sidetracked... Ok, so what about the 06 vs the 07 motor? Keep shopping for an 07?

I think we have - 06 = 2 votes, 07 = 1 vote.

I have an '06 and it had more power than I could ever use, so I did the stage 1, pipes, AC, race map, and now it still goes faster than I can possibly ever use.

I have heard that the '06 is not as hot as the '07, but that's just what I read here.

I havent seen the bike as its about 2.5 hours away. When speaking with the owner he said that someonelse looking at the bike pointed it out to him as he never noticed it. He says its very light on some spokes - not the actual rims. The current owner bought the bike last Dec with 300 miles on it. He said since he has owned it, its been garaged and serviced by a local bike shop. The bike shop added the Stage 1 and forward controls in Jan. He said that I can speak with the bike shop for an opinion about the bike as they are fimilar with it. I will call the shop tomorrow and see what they say. Since they got some moneys for servicing the bike, maybe they will provide a free incspection of the bike.

Get the 06. With a Stage 1 it'll have more than enough of everything you're looking for in Harley power. Save yourself a couple of grand and enjoy the forwards. If you don't think you could tell the difference between a 1450 and 1600, then you probably can't. Throw that saved money towards other stuff.

Kuma, I have ridden 883 and 1200 Sportsters, and they also have plenty of power. There just isn't going to be noticable power differences in the 2 motors. Ultimately, the choice is yours. Both years are great bikes and great motors. You'll be happy with either one.
