Im gonna buy some new pipes Im looking at V&H big shots or Samson Cannons. Any opinons on either of these? The dealer has both in stock cant make up my mind and dont know if the V&H are worth the extra $170.00 over the Samsons. BTW when I buy the pipes Ill be selling my SE II slash down slip-ons if anyone is intrested.
I dont like the way the heat shield looks now that I have forward controls. Below is a pic of it, it has a notch cut out for the mid controls.
I originally wanted Samson's Street Sweepers but let the highly opinionated parts guy at the dealership talk me out of them and into V&H. I had done some flip-flopping back and forth with the Big Radius anyway. V&H pipes sound really good but are not going to be quite as loud as the Samsons. After sitting on a backorder for three weeks and doing a lot of thinking about it, I went ahead and changed my order back to Samson. Don't really care if I lose a little power, it will look good and sound raunchy as hell and I will be happy.
i have same problem with front heatshield after going to fwd cntls on my bob today.i will go for v&h big radius.but another cheap solution is to order a 06 wide glide front heat shield
Do the Samson's have the O2 provision? That's the same problem I had when I ordered my V&H, they were about the only ones with O2's.
A friend of mine said he actually liked the sound of his old ground pounders more than this new big shots.
