I know I am just pissed off, but $15 is way to high- IF you ever plan on trading it in and upgrading. I have been shopping around local stealers here in CT for my 07 SB and with 900 miles the best offer (mostly stock and mint) is $7500. kbb/nada/edmuns. Now if I bought it for $15 and drove it a year and lost $7500...but I digress. MSRP should be what you could expect to pay. Unless you need an 08, try am 07. Still getting the 96 and the 6 speed.
Ironically, I bought my '08 Street Bob here in cold Minnesota during the dead of winter. \\; Bikes simply don't move here when there is snow on the ground and no one is even thinking about riding for months yet.
 \\;
I ended up buying my '08 for $13,000 flat and the dealer tossed in the extended service plan which covers the 1000, 5000, 10,000 and 20,000 mile checkups. \\; Then again, consider the timing of my purchase and the location too. \\; I have since swung through the dealership and have seen the tagged price keep inching up and up with the urge to ride during the summer. \\; I realize the whole "demand" thing, but hey, if they were willing to get rid of them for $13,000 a few months ago, why not now?
Thanks for the input, guys. \\; ...So I gather that if they can't do $13k-sub$13k to keep looking? \\; I figured they would be more willing to move the 08's w/ the 09's coming in...

 \\;
Keep in contact with them and keep working. \\; They should deal on June 30th assuming they still have good inventory. \\; Dealers always will stretch a little more at the end of the month and the last day of HDs 2nd quarter. \\;
I'd look for an 07 personally. \\; Risers arent made into the upper clamp, more wheel options with the 1" axle. \\; Anyway, I bought my 07 in Sept of 07 for 15K drive out and got $500 free accessories. \\; Of course down here in Houston, we can ride pretty much year round so they dont discount all that much. \\; If you want the 08, wait until the 09's hit the showroom.
Stopped by the dealership to sign up for REC. \\; Salesman said price is firm. \\; $15k for the bike and either $500 in parts or off the bottom line. \\; I think I'll shop around or buy used.
It seems to depend on your location. \\;\\\\\\; I've heard that in the deep south, you can almost name your price on leftover '08's. \\;\\\\\\; I know for sure that they will cut some really good deals in the Denver area. \\;\\\\\\; The trick is to find two different dealers with the bike you want. \\;\\\\\\; They will REALLY compete for your biz then if you're patient. \\; 15K is just too dogone much for that bike.
 \\;\\\\\\;
Good luck with your search,
