dropped mine while practicing \\;slow weave for the road test once, although i did have hold of the bars and was somewhat holding it up, \\;one peg took most of it. \\;another time moved my bike late at night by hand and didn't realize the kickstand went back up and when i went to rest the bike on the kickstand it wasn't down and the bikes angle was past the point of no return. no noticable damage as i held it up enough from doing any real damage and managed to lift it back upright without regrouping or setting the bike down.
Happens to all of us!!! dropped mine on the first day out of the dealer. Got a small scratch and dent on the tank. Feels stupid when it happens, but we learn from our mistakes, right?
That's bad luck - glad the damaged was minimal. \\; I did that with my old Dyna Convertible and the handle bars whipped round, thumpedme in the chest and craked a couple of ribs [:@] \\;!
Had mine less than 100 miles and backed off the concrete pad while turning ...Got away and laid over on guard!!Freaked me out!!!!Then had to find out how to turn off tip alarm>\\;>\\;S&\\;^T now everybody knows!!!!!!!!
On the way back from Eureka Springs this weekend my wife's coat blew off \\;while going about 65 on a back road so \\;I made a U-turn in the road to retrieve it....thankfully I didn't drop HER!!!!!!!! \\; That's what I thought when I first read the post (must be too early in the morning).
One thing to remember when practicing tight slow \\;moves is that applying power will pull you out of most any situation (which is why you should do it in an open area). OTOH, you're bound to drop it if you really push your limits...those competition Motorcops drop them all the time. Also, an engine guard is a huge plus if you're into pushing it past your comfort level(like me). I always keep more throttle than I need dialed in and use the clutch to control the bike, plus light rear brake pressure...and always look where you want to go rather than at the ground.

Well at least Im not the only only that dropped \\;my bike. I had my 07 street Bob for 3 days and was going around a slow turn and dropped it. What really suck is that I put a half dollar size dent in the tank even before most of my friends and family seen the bike. Then I had to explian 50 times what happened. practics makes perfect.
