I was trying the very low speed U turns &\\; doing great (flat ground). Started home and \\;I turned into a new rd, new housing in \\;area. lots of hills no \\;real flat spots, me being the I can do it type!!! \\; \\; \\;  \\;Well the bike has some scatches &\\; so do I. I do hope its the last \\; because its BTCH to get the bike off \\; \\;when your laying flat on your back.

I did it during a low speed training class. Remember... no front brake during these maneuvers. It's what puts people down. Rear brake only while feathering clutch in the friction zone. Ride that rear brake while going real slow... \\;this "tricks" the bike suspension into thinking the bike is moving faster and it stays upright.
 \\;
Don't give up... keep practicing.
10 years ago, I dropped my old Honda. \\; Last month, I dropped my (almost) year old FXDC. \\; In 10 more years, I'll probably drop her again...at least she'll be paid off by then...
 \\;
Don't beat yourself up. \\; It happens.
Not sure how long you have been riding, but \\;when I started ridding H-Ds I must have dropped my old bike at least 5 or more times. \\; Some were alcohol educed, some speed related, some were bike issues and some were just bad decisions. \\; Knowing what not to do is as important as anything else. \\; Could happen again I am sure, but 20 plus years since my last turnover incident. \\; Hope the damage was minimal. \\; Letâs hope this is your first and last time.
It may be bad advice, but the tight, slow speed U-turns for me work best in second gear while feathering the clutch in the friction zone and adjusting RPM's accordingly.
2 kinds of riders, ones that have dropped them, ones that will... I have dropped and laid down 3 bikes... you walked away... that is whats important...let us know what you need we all have parts laying around
Happens to everybody. \\; I did the same thing with in the first 300 miles after I picked up my 07. \\; Slow U-turn in a rock parking lot. \\; Wasn't even using the front brake. \\; Next thing I know the mini apes crank one way, the bike is on its side, and I'm standing next to it wondering what the F just happened.
