Default Tuning Advice .. Please

Probably been asked a million times but I cant get the search thing to work......
&nbsp\\;
Do you need to adjust any electronic mapping etc etc if you are fitting a Big sucker air filter and slip on pipes ? Fat Bob is the bike and don't want to change the header pipes just want it to breathe better run smoother and sound better.
&nbsp\\;
Oh forgot to mention I fitted the Xied's today but not run her yet.
&nbsp\\;
Thanks for the patience !!

Wow... hard to answer. So many variables... yet so little information.
&nbsp\\;
My answer is a firm "yes".

If you change the intake (increase)&nbsp\\;you should get a stage 1 download, at least, even with the Xied's because the Xied's are not going to affect your AFR at WOT.

Yes, you need a stage 1 download as a minimum. You will be running too lean
without it.

I've heard the dealer installed download is a wast of $$$$$$$$.
I'm running a Fule Pack. After installing the AC, pipes and fule manager I changed to the quiet baffels &amp\\; was able to change the AF ratio setting in my own garage, in 5 minuets and for free!

It's not a Buick, it's a Harley - haha.&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
Since you have the IED's, you may only need a stage 1 download but you need at least that at a minimum.&nbsp\\; I've seen people report good results with that combination.&nbsp\\; Bottom line, you need to do something more because of the high flow a/c than the pipes/mufflers.&nbsp\\; There are many other options of course, i.e. fuelpak, T-Max, SERT, PCIII, etc.&nbsp\\; But yes you need something more than what you have.

Ok Guys
&nbsp\\;
I'm not to shabby with wrench and driver but when it comes to electronics I'm as thick as proverbial so.....
&nbsp\\;
Am coming to America to visit bike shops { ok and Disney } What should I buy and can I do this download thing myself ? { Remember thick as ... with techno } .
&nbsp\\;
I am going to look at the rush slip ons and considered the Ness big sucker filter .
What gizzmo do I need - best bang for $$$$$$
&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
What ever happened to good old carbs ...........

If you buy a matched set of intake and exhaust its the only way to know if you have to re-map and what level you, otherwise you need to Dyno it.
I bought the S&amp\\;S low restriction intake and slip-on pipes which the stock ECM can adjust for to keep the same air/fuel ratio and emissions as stock.
