I bought a 06 FXDLI. It currently has the stock pipes on it. I have no problem with the sound. I don't need to break windows on the next block to tell people I own a Harley. I will buy some screaming eagle slip ons for it down the road.
I think that anybody that buys a $16k motorcycle then takes a hacksaw, and or a hammer and chisle to punch holes in the mufflers just to make it louder is an idiot.

I agree. I like the slip ons though, as I do enjoy to here a little v twin rumble. Not to loud, but definatly HD! As far as SE slip ons down the road...I heard rumors (and thats all they are so far) that HD is discontinuing SE. Delays may be dangerous. Of course there are other slip ons out there, I just think the SE's are of better quality.
As far as HD discontinuing SE slips ons, I don't see what all the fuss is about.
Some other manufacturer will gladly snap up that market share, and dealers will be forced to sell them. Don't get me wrong cause I love my SE2's but the fact is the market is there so if HD won't fill it someone else will.

For those of you who tried to help, thanks.
For the rest of you trolls who chose to be "message edited because of offensive content", you are more than welcome to buy my piece of crap.
I've owned 8 Harleys and I expect more than what I've got.
I was quite surprised to find that most of you don't expect something better for 15 grand.
I only signed on to this forum to make sure that I was'nt missing something, and you confirmed that.
But let leave you with something. I spend all of my spare time riding my bikes. Many of you spend your spare time chatting on this forum.
I hate to break it off on someone but man 800,000 bikes made it to Sturgis last year from all over the country. I wish his experience had been a little more positive. Owning a HD is a labor of love for sure. I came from a Vulcan and I am not going back. Harley just has soul. I could feel it the first time I took my bike out. Weather is supposed to be great this weekend and I hope to get the rest of the first 500 mile break-in done by next week. 50 MPH sucks!
with all due respect.
