Took delivery of my '11 FLTRX back in September and then took it on a trip to Florida and back. It's completely stock, as far as the motor's concerned, and I'm wanting to get a better sounding exhaust. I put a Samsom full exhaust on my '06 Deuce along with a Power Commander III and K&N air cleaner and had it dyno tuned. Now there are catalytic converters and O2 sensors on my bike that I have to worry about. I just want a little more sound out of my bike. Not sure that I want a full exhaust on this bike, but I've read some threads that sound like slip-ons sound like $h!t. What should one do that wants better sound, doesn't have to be window shattering, but doesn't break the bank or cause tuning problems either? Anyone happy with say a slip-on exhaust with a HD reprogram of their ECM on an '11? BTW, I have the 103" motor. Thanks.
I love the combination of V&H True Duals and Widows - a really deep rumble that is loud enough (louder than MOs) but not obnoxious. I was really , really happy with the outcome...
if you want it to sound like your 06 then you will have to do complete exhaust and tuner
Most slip ons that change the sound more than 1 or 2 db will need a tuner as well these things run really lean to start any increase in air flow will require more fuel
True duals all the way. Just put them on my 09. Before that I just had Rinehart slip on's. They sounded good (but I dont have a cat) But after putting on dresser duals, those Rinehart's sound even better
Anyone have any issues with their tuners? The PCIII that I had on my Duece caused what seemed like a second or so delay between throttle input and the response. Thanks for your suggestions so far.
have 2010 ultra limited, fuelmoto stage one kit with pcv 2-1-2 header pipe and there jackpots, complete kit cost around 1100.00 dollars.very well pleased with it.

This isn't the least expensive way to go but it does sound nice . . .

We'll it runs pretty good as is. I had it tuned before switching. I went ahead and ordered all my software for the smart tune. I am waiting for a heavy breather and then I will start to tune it
