Hello spring fever folks. I was lurking around in here and seen a pic of the Vance & Hines big radius pipes on a St. Bob. Gotta say, they look good. I was wondering how loud these things are? Can ya quiet em down some to the point that ya could sneak around without the Fuzz harrassing a guy? I'm not sure about the effectivness of a stubby baffle, at least I'm guessing the baffles are short cause of the radius. Hmmm, hope that made sense.

 

i have them on my night train ,they are very loud

 

my friend has them on his american iron tejas. sound real mean! its also on a 111"s&s motor though

They are loud, but compared to straight pipes they are a bit quieter. If you know when to stay off the throttle you shoud be fine. I don't htink you want to get on the throttle going down a main street in a town. I just put them on mine over the winter and hope to get out for a long ride this weekend. Up until now its been short trips here and there. I have thunder monster baffles installed which make it sound real low.
