I pulled the V&H slip-on mufflers off and installed the short shot staggered. Very pleased AGAIN with the fit and finish of the Vance and Hines product. I am also very pleased with the sound. LOUD! I guess it is because the pipes are so short. I like it alot!
I have posted the slip ons in the for sale section. If any of you guys know someone with a Dyna that is still sporting the stock mufflers send them my way! I had them on my bike for less than three months and they are FLAWLESS!!!! First $100 get them!
The staggered short shots are louder, or so it seems. They are short and the pipe openings are directly below the rider wherein the slip-ons travel further back. I like the look and enjoy being able to better hear them. Weather has been crap for two days, I will get out on the bike today. I did however take a short ride after entering the new settings into the Fuel Pack and it ran perfect! That Fuel Pack is kinda amazing!

When I was taking the V&H slip-ons and the stock head pipes off, I found the nuts holding the pipes to the exhaust ports could be taken off almost by hand! I thought these would have been checked as part of the 1000 mile service! [:@] Since these were loose, I grabbed a small wrench and check the spokes. SURPRISE! Many of the spokes on the rear wheel were loose! WTF! [:@]
I even too the bike to the best dealer in St. Louis! So I guess NOBODY will give the bike the attention it really deserves like the actual owner will.
LTREX, another reason to do the 1K yourself and keep the 3-400 dollars in your pocket...sad.
Hey, what did you mean by saying you entered the new fuel pack settings. I think we have the same setup, did you change something from what they suggested?
