custom headlight and signals
I have a 07 fxd super glide and want to order the parts today. First i got a service manual so i know the wiring dig. The headlight on the bike is 3 wire and i know some here have put on this type of light on and wanted to know how you did the ground http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=230269053007

Any input in the two would be greatly appericated.

I used the factory harness and plug with the new headlight. \\; If you decided to use the headlight's plug, you will probably find the black wire will run from the plug to its mounting bracket. \\; \\;This will ground \\;the light when it is installed. \\; \\;You \\;will then have two wires left to connect.

true, just cut off the old one and re solder it... being that it is in a headlight and will bounce around alot as well as get hot, SOLDER it... but what john said is dead on. i have grounded them a few times right to the houseing on the light, you can also ground it out where the headlight mounts too... let us know if oyu have any ?. pics help with wiring if you have issues
