I don't think it would affect mileage much. If the wind isn't hitting a shield....its hitting you.
If anything, the shield is more aerodynamic.
I agree also. May even find it improves mileage..

I would think it would give you better mileage...after all, the windshields are suppose to be aerodynamic by divert the majority of the wind up and over you.....rather than slamming you&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;in your chest.&nbsp\\; I just think of those truckers with the shield above their cab to direct windflow up and over the trailer. Same principle.&nbsp\\; Last year I kept detailed records of gas mileage on my new 2007&nbsp\\;Dyna Low Rider. With my W/S on,&nbsp\\;I averaged 48.71 mph&nbsp\\;riding strictly&nbsp\\;2 lane country with the usual turns and stops. My speeds average 35 to 65mph. &nbsp\\;I expect I would get&nbsp\\;even more if I rode&nbsp\\;on&nbsp\\;freeways or interstates&nbsp\\;at a constant speed.&nbsp\\;

I get between 40-42 MPG with a windshield and without.&nbsp\\; No noticable difference here.

most windshield are not straight up and down.i dont think it would have any effect.

I get less mileage, but I think it's because I ride 20 mph faster with it on.
