LMAO
I took my bike out tonight for its first voyage since relocating my front signals. In the process I pulled the front o2 sensor and replaced with a plug. I get not even a mile from home and all of a sudden my bike gets really weird sounding. Pull into the gas station and find the o2 plug had blown out.
The plug had this hard rubber grommet that I left on from the auto parts store. I just laughed my *** off because in the excitement of finishing my turn signals I must have forgot to tighten the o2 plug. I found it between the oil filter and the frame and was it HOT!
I filled 'er up and pushed her to a parking spot to cool down enough to put the plug back in. Good thing I started a tool bag and had at least an adjustable wrench to tighten the plug down without the rubber washer. I wanted to high five the oil filter for making such a spectacular catch too.

Why would you take out the O2 sensor and plug up the hole anyway?? Am I missing something?

OP is using a PC III for fuel management. It installs with o2 sensor eliminators so removing o2 sensor and plugging o2 bung is ok.

Davidsdad, just as arcane stated I am using the pcIII and was tired of looking at the dangling wire on the front cylinder so I took it out. I have another plug for the rear cylinder but it's not as visible and I may or may not repeat that process without the bolt flying out. lol
