trying to install the passenger peg brackets on my 06 dyna superglide. What is up with those friggin allens holding the belt guard bracket on. Trying to get them off the swingarm is a bear. Am I going to have to remove the fender to get a better shot at those things or should I just try a shorter extension or would a torch be more effective. Those things are tough to get out!

why do you still have a belt guard? that is one of the first things i took off my bike. literally, within three hours of purchasing my dyna i removed all the belt guards, switched to zbars, and installed passenger pegs. by the way be sure to get the cheaper black peg mounts, they will try to sell you the chrome one's for $100 bucks more. save the money, chrome looks stupid on the black frame anyway.

 

Torx, just did this myself.&nbsp\\; The tough one is on the belt-side mount front torx.&nbsp\\; Its right against the frame and ratchet and bit is too tall.&nbsp\\; Had to have buddy that had a flex tool to get it on.&nbsp\\; good luck.&nbsp\\;

 

A little heat wont hurt try a hair dryer instaed of torch takes a while but will soften lock tite w/o paint damage

 

yep ... that bugger had loc tite in it... that and na correct torx driver helped alot.
