front fender...remove 4 bolts. tank...remove two bolts and disconnect wires underneath dash and disconnect crossover fuel line under frame and quick disconnect fuel line. Rear fender...remove 4 bolts. \\;
Fire I did it. I went from a FXD to a FXDB. It's not hard but you WILL need the manual. Disconnect the fuel line before you lift the tank off very important. The pump and filters are a little tricky to get out. I changed handle bars at the same time and ran wires internally just take your time.
Rear fender. Remove tailight.
Wires have to come out of the fittings.

Pull the main wiring through conduit
then back thru the new fender.
Careful, dont overtighten the four fender bolts on reinstall.
