angry monkey, my dealer has a dyno so im going to have them dyno it. stbob1 yes same thing as the power commander exept that its a harly part and it doesn't eliminate the o2 senors. veniculum yes there is hardware involved. whew,[sm=icon_ladiesman.gif] is that everbody?
The SERT and Power Commander are NOT the same thing. The PCIII piggybacks on your bike and fools the ECM. It is a piece or hardware that stays on your bike. The SERT is computer software that runs on your computer and downloads to your bike changing your ECM. You can make adjustments on your computer and download. You can also take readings from your bike to your computer. Two different animals completely.
Like Terry said, they are different. The end result is they change your A/F mix, but how they do it, and how much tweaking you can do to them is different. I want a SERT when ever I get the cash, just because they look like fun......
oh i thought there was a modual that plugged into the computer like the pcIII. so what exactly comes in the box beside software for your computer? is it a hadheld programmer that download maps into the engine control modual
I'm in line at Zanottis for my SERT but I an waiting until Winter to have the mods done and the bike tuned on the Dyno. I would not be able to handle my bike being in the shop this Summer after sitting here like an idiot in this weather. Plus, I want all this fuel injection issue to play out before I spend my $$ on mods. I'm doing the whole deal at once and that's it. Of course I might just list my SEII slip ons on Ebay after they are discoutinued and see if I can sell them for a profit to roll into some V&H staggered big shots. And then there is that chrome I want, plus the turn signal mods, plus................
you can probably have the sert, pipes and a/c and dyno tune done in one day. the a/c and slip ons took me less than an hour. the hardest part is the dyno tune. if your not gonn put the pips and a/c on yourself i'm sure you can dropp i off the bight before and pick it up after work so you don't even miss it.
Hello, I have an '06 Street Bob w/ Stage 1 download,A/C, And SEII Slip-ons. Is there a sert map on the cd specifically for this set-up, or just something that comes close?
