06 FXWGI with a few options, relocated front lights, brake light kit, windshield, seat, detachable sissy bar, tach, SE AC, SE pipes, download, braided fuel lines and a sale on this weekend at the stealer!!
But there is one flaw in the armor. The SERT marries itself to a single ECU. Would the SERT work with a replacement ECU? Most likely not. With so many Delphi units running around, I think that burning one out is pretty slim anyway.
I was at the stealer yesterday (20% off sale) and he mentioned that maybe they are updating the SERT to version "G" to cover some new maps for the 06 models. I also found out the the download comes like on a memory stick and gets burned in to your ECM, but if the ECM was to go bad you would need to buy another download for the replacement. Not a good deal to me, looks like the SERT would be the way to go.

I have a 2005 FXDX.
SE Stage 1 big bore 95 ci. (uses stock cams)
SE II slip fit mufflers
HD Gold spark plugs - stock heat range
progressive 440 heavy duty rear shocks
BEFORE SERT & Dyno tune......HP=72.09 & TQ=84.71...(this was with the HD factory download) MUCH popping
AFTER SERT & Dyno tune........HP=80.54 & TQ=86.16....third pass warm bike.....DYNOJET dyno at LIMA, Ohio HD dealership
waited while work was performed....4 hours
now only a slight pop every now and then
Tuner said that if I had the SE stage 2 big bore that comes with the SE 203 cams the numbers would have increased by 3 to 5
I am very happy with 20 plus HP over stock 88....now pulls great beven between 5000 & 6000 rpm...new redline 6500 rpm
Bike was tuned for rideability..not benchracing numbers...runs & starts great!
$60.00/hour shop rate....cleanest HD shop and showroom I have ever seen!!!
I originally bought the bike with the stage 1 upgrade from the HD dealership (A/C and SEII's). The calibration they loaded had a big flat spot at about 3500 RPM and made your eyes water if you were riding behind me because it was rich. I put Rineharts on my wide glide and got the dyno cal done and am completely satisfied with the results. It's expensive though but worth the money.
Another consideration about getting downloaded calibrations for your bike; they are based on a reference engine and not your engine. Every engine is not exactly the same so you may have lean or rich areas in the calibration. Doing a dyno tune, assuming they take their time and really know what they're doing, builds a custom cal for just your bike and not for a bike 'like' yours. My dyno tuning took about 5 hours to complete.
