ECM Stage 1 question...
I purchased my 2003 Heritage used from the Stealership. I have spoken via email with the previous owner, and he said that he had a SERT installed on the bike WITH the Stage 1 download, but kept the SERT, when he traded it in on his '07 SE Ultra. My question is, since it had the Stage 1 with the SERT, does it still have the Stage 1 download? Or does it go away, with the removal of the SERT? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

have hime send you the SERT it is not usable on any other bike...they are only good for the original VIN...IF he had a stage one download, the bike will run much better if it is dyno tuned using the sert to adjust the various tables/settings that are preset by the MOCO to meet EPA regs.

I emailed him in the past, and brought that up, about the SERT locking to the VIN #. He responded by saying "If you do a little research online, you will find that you are able to re-unlock the SERT programmer". And then he told me that he would only charge me $200 for it... LoL! So, needless to say, I am not looking to do anymore business with this person.
