dude..let me ask you...you already have the SE2 slip ons right? did you have the stage 1 kit/AC installed with them. If so, have you had any trouble with popping, sputtering?
Also, what exactly is the SERT? is it just a download, or is there hardware involved? I assume the SERT is an upgrade from a stage 1 correct?

Sorry bout all the questions..Just might want to do something similar eventually..if it'll make a little bit of a difference in the performance.

Thanks man.

Todd

Call around. The dealers have been getting shipments from Harley over the past two weeks. My dealer got 13 in last week. You should be able to find one.

Terry,

Thanks, Harley is like learning a whole other language. You guys do a great job here providing info and since I'm typing it I don't feel like such a dumbass asking these question.

P.S. Can a newbie like me run the software and make the right changes?

sert= screamin eagle race tuner. yes i have the a/c and the slip ons and i get alot of pops somtimes pretty big. the sert is hd poer commander but it doesn't eliminate the 02. i'm going to have them install it and tune it on the dyno. i'm also suppost to get hp and tq numbers. i'm haveing them install and tune so if anything goes wronf i can blame them. sort of a warrenty.

Slip ons and AC....no download? if so, nowonder your popping. If you have the down load, your still lean, because......The D/L was maped for stock exhaust and SE A/C. Makes no sense to me either, but it was posted here, I researched, and by god its true. Regardless, for those that have the D/l, and cant afford the SERT, or for those that are waiting on back order...check it out....the d/l was for a restrictive exhaust and high flow a/c. leave your Slip ons attached (high flow), and put the stock a/c back on (restrictive) I did, and bike runs great. No popping at all. No lean indications at all. none. If I get the money I will get a sert, just to be able to throw the SE ac I already bought back on, and have a new gadget to play with. but the set up I have right now works great.

Remember. the new bikes run lean. they were designed to. however they run so close to the edge that tampering with some of them can have ill effects. Regardless, if you are new, dont beleive everything you hear. Just because its written in black and white...even on here, does not mean it is true. Many profess to be the source of all knowledge, but so very few are. I see it at the dealera lot....RUB comes in, parts guy feeds him a line, and the RUB pulls out his platinum card and starts swiping. My point, research things for yourself, and you will not only find truth, but wisdom as well.

isn't the sert pretty much the same as a power commander?
