Does the sert that I buy from the Harley dealer come with the "stage 1" download file for my bike? I guess what I'm really asking is, does the dealer just install the sert into my bike, and then just downloada file into it that came with the sert? If this is the case I can do this myself.

Does the dealer really do anything that I cannot do myself or is the stage 1 download only something that I can get when I have the dealer download stage 1?

If you are going to spend the money for a SERT you should really spend the extra money for a dyno tune. The canned maps are just a guess. You can get a decent tune with a map but you can really dial it in with the dyno. Shoot a pm to Shovelhead Bob and he can get you an exact answer.
