What are you trying to achieve? Please be specific. Do you want more horsepower? Do you want something that can sprint from stoplight to stoplight? Do you want something that can pull a trailer? Do you want more reliability? Be specific please.

Mostly I'm looking for reliability with added HP and Torque. Not a big guy (5'9", 175lbs). Doesn't matter to me if I have HD accessories (A/C, exhaust, plug wire, cams, etc. etc... Just looking for the right combo that works and is reliable.

Any help would be appreciated.

Does the 110" pull harder than the 103"? Does the 110" have a higher top end than the 103"? is the 103" easier to maintain? what components bring the 103" up to the same levels as the 110"? Do you folks just bolt on and call it good or does anyone her really know how to build an engine?

One thing you will find missing when adding additional inches is the ability of the stock heads to breath. Putting a good set of worked heads on an 88 or 96 engine will give you more horsepower increase than a 103. It comes down to how much air/ fuel can you get into a cylinder. Stock heads become a bottleneck when doing major changes. A good set of heads can give you more bang for your buck.

Now, that's what I'm talking about. Any prefernce in head selction? Preferences concerning boring vs. racing heads? How about heavy A/C compenstaing for larger jugs?
