I posted this in the other forum , but figure this one would get me more info.
Ok, Well I deceided to put the FP on my bike and took of the Cobra FI200r as it offered alot more tunability without spending the $$ for the PCIII (Christmas gift to come ) So for the time the FP will be fine. However after putting on last night and programing in the code FP-0604 the bike seems to backfire during start up threw the Tbody, (no fire as a exhaust just seems to spit or sneeze so to speak) Then it fires up and runs great. I was just wondering if anyone out there that has had experience with the FP had a pointer or two that might correct this.
The bike is a 08 Dyna FXD with stock ecm , big sucker and cycle shack slipons.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Id dump the fuel pak and go with Techlusion Stealth Unit......I just did it and Im way impressed, had 2 previous fuel paks and the Tech. solved all the problems....no poppin, no surge, crisp and clean throttle, smooth ride thru-out power band plus the dyno numbers were better that the numbers from the previous fuel paks...........
Go to the V&H website and send an e-mail to tech support, they will respond shortly with help.
Of course make sure you do the following first:
1. Confirm your configuration on the web site for your bike
2. Confirm your settings on your FP
3. Recal your throttle settings
4. Test ride your bike (after a 30 minute ride or warmup)
I did the following and they came back with a few setting changes and it solved my issues
quickly. Runs great now.
