Lets see some pictures, I would love two lights on my Street Bob.
Click on me (Bugger) or Spike (my skoot in the aviator). Click on "show all albums". Need some close up pixs I agree but this was such an easy mod, 45-60 min. I tapped into the headlight wiring inside the original headlamp bucket. Black- ground, yellow- low beam and white- high beam. Drilled or bored a hole in the original headlamp bucket just below the original one and sized just big enough to accept the rubber groment. run the three wire sweeper cord through the newly bored hole with gromet, secure the sweeper cord to frame and engine guard with what do you call those nylon tie things, stuff the sweeper cord into your used bargin headlamp, remember what color wire goes to what post and there you go-dual headlights. Lights are run off a 15 amp circuit. On high beam the two headlights will draw 10 amps (60 watts X 2/ 12 volts) and then add a little for the tail light/brake light and running lights. I wanted the headlamp bucket that has the 7/16 bolt stem (I think all Sportster headlamps are this way). The stem mates nicely to a 1 1/4in engine guard clamp with a 1/2in hole (foot peg hole). Now, just between you and me, I did have the used bucket and clamp powder coated (another 30 buxs). Need more info?
