just got back from Oregon the ride between the sisters and Eugene wow, go over the pass, I'm not sure the hwy but it is restricted to anything over 35 feet. Lava flows on top trees covering some of the best twisties I've been on.

I'm a native of WA. Yes to the Cascade Loop. Also Hwy 101 loop around Olympic Peninsula with option of day trip to Victoria, BC from Port Angeles. Also at Port Angeles, a really quick ride up to Hurricane Ridge. Glaciers, deer, mountain goats, all in a couple of hours. I'm jealous.

5 weeks? WOW, you will have no problem finding great places to ride in the Northwest. Don't forget to see Mt. St. Helens.

The Cascade Loop is O.K. but it is a lot of slab, head a bit north and get on Hwy 20? head East stop at Concrete look at old hotel being made in to a castle,eat at Gator's, a real New Orleans eatery, keep going East, the temperature will change from warm to cold to hot, then hook up to the Loop returning West, ride the Chuckanut, ending up in Edison at the Longhorn, Sunday is best , gorge on fresh oyster shooters $1.50 ea, then continue back South to Annacortes,catch a ferry, bikes go the front of the line automatically, if you hang around for the Oyster Run on the 27th, you will see the largest gathering of bikes on the west Coast outside the Love run.
If you go as far as Spokane, head a bit north to Canada, hook up to the Crowsnest pass head west thru the mountains, (passport required) and you MUST have a destination to get thru the border, just riding will not cut it. come to Abbotsford cut south at Sumas , hook up to Hwy 9 and ride, ride ,ride

Wow! 5 weeks, congratulations! You must be getting excited at this, almost the 11th hour before what promises to be one of your adventures of a lifetime. I would definitely spend an hour or two on this website. Lots of good stuff here that may help you out. Have a safe trip.
