Default Road trip to WA state

I start my vacation on Sept 1st and will be riding to WA state from San Diego, CA, then back. I've read many threads on here about what to pack for long trips so I'm covered there, and yes I have rain gear . If the HDF mascot is on the west coast and needs to be handed off let me know. also let me know about places and roads that are a must see, and places to stay. Hell maybe even meet some yalls for a beer along the way

Washington State has plenty to see. I lived there for four years. I graduated high school there. Wish I had my scoot then. I miss the mountains. We don't have anything like that here in Mississippi. I would never move back there again, but I do miss the mountains. I'm sure that will be an awesome trip on your bike.

I know that the temps on the coast in Oregon can be 40 dregrees different from 40 miles in land.

Are you going anywhere specific? There are great scenic routes to just about anywhere so you can avoid I-5 and other boring, crazy driver infested highways.

Being from Washington state I would suggest this ride:
http://www.cascadeloop.com/

I think it is one of a few absolute must rides, some of the most beautiful country you will see. Ride safe and enjoy.

Suggesting routes really depends on your final destination, and how many out of the way miles you want to ride to get there.
Going straight up the coast to Seattle is certainly worthy, but you will skip by two whole states worth of some of the best scenic riding out there.
