Default dyna questions

I currently have a Vulcan 750. I am looking for bike that has more room for my wife when I ride 2-up. I really like the Dyna models and have always wanted a Harley. Should I buy a 2006 with the improvements or or buy a used one with many of the additions I want already on the bike, but for a little less money? Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks,
Larry

I actually prefer a one-owner with low miles over a new bike (same with guitars). That way, I let the first guy get the bugs out of it when it is new. Also, I can use the money I save by buying used, to get the accessories I want for it. This time I couldn't find what I wanted in a used bike, so I bought a new Dyna. Now, as a result, I have little or no money available for mods and I must deal with these ridiculous recalls, fixes and other bug-related variables.

Personally, I decided to go new; the previous owner(s) may have worked some old bugs out and added some of their own (MHO). Additionally, the warranty carries a lot of weight...

Besides, that way I started with a fresh canvas and all the mods would be MINE! MINE!

No. 2000-3000, or less. Technically used, but virtually new. Good as new, but cheaper. I see them around here (Dallas) occasionally. Unfortunately, the only one I came across in that category during my latest quest was a Softail (452 mi on it) and out of my price range. So I opted for the new Bob. Yeh, the warranty is nice, that is if you can get the MoCo to honor it when you need it...

Personally, I like a carbed bike so I would look for something older or something new that still has a carb offering. The only reason I like the carb is because in the world of computers, I like my toys a little old fashioned. There are advantages to EFI I guess, but I have my car for that.
