Need help, rear spacer problems!
After 1 mile it felt like the bike was braking, I stopped immediately. My new left spacer was melting!! See pic.
Could this be because the new spacer is made of aluminum and is extremely soft, the stock spacers are real hard metal.
The right spacer (by the brake) is the stock spacer. The new spacer, which a had to replace beacuse the new wheel hub is wider than stock, is on the belt side and made of aluminum.
When I have the bike on a lift and tighten the wheelaxle nut by hand the wheel spins beatyful. BUT as soon I tighten the nut with a wrench it´s not spinning so nicely anymore.
So when I took her for the ride it ate my spacer up with 5mm...
I have removed my stock wheel lot´s of times before and have had no problems at all...

Just wonder why those guys at the harley-custom shop that sold me the wheels sell those crap-alu spacers?
Never mind. Problem solved, but my new fullchrome pully got scratched on the edge touching the swing arm...
Not to bust your ***** too bad but sounds like you felt rubbing when you tightened to spec and took it for a ride anyway. Lesson learned I hope, in the future find and fix all rubbing issues, riding it will only cause problems.
